Budget Worksheet..

Writer's picture: Pattie PPattie P

Hi, again - up early following that routine - a must is to review my budget worksheet - or today it's actually to set it up in anticipation of tomorrow's paycheck.. (remember, might sound different, but I BUDGET paycheck to paycheck (for all paycheck or incomes that come into my house..not necessarily "paychecks").

I get paid weekly. So this morning, I put together tomorrow's budget for my paycheck. This is what it looks like ..(picture)

top left hand corner is where I put my income, I have 2 paychecks coming in (weekly & a side gig) and then 'rollover' is what's left in my checking account from last paycheck.

Then I list what bills I'm paying with this week's money (in essence 'budgeting' this paycheck out).. Capital one cc, Avenue CC, & then I listed home utilities (for me to think about, if I can put a little toward that).

Below that, is my 'envelopes'.. I am trying the cash all method - because we don't need alot of groceries this week, I will take out cash & try not to debit after that.. (that's HARD!!) & then I also have to pull some 'babysitting' money.. we pay someone on Friday for 4 hours a week & then Sunday for 2 ($80 total).

The column on the right.. is my Sinking Funds (doesn't go into envelopes, because I can't trust myself not to spend it) so I have sinking funds through an online bank.. Christmas 2020 ($10/week); House Big expenses (we need a lawn mower in spring, so I started saving a few weeks ago $25/week); an Emergency Fund (trying to reach at least $1,000-so $25/week - jumped from $10/week); & a Birthday account (our birthdays are August, Nov, & December..so plenty of time to save $10/week).

Anything extra may go to an extra debt payment (even if it's only $10 or $25..it's extra!) and then any 'extra savings'..

That's my worksheet!

Everyone's savings & money goals are unique to that individual & family.. no judging allowed! :)
