Hey there.. I'm getting back into the routine as I've said in a previous post I was away for a couple of days & then not getting up at my usual 5:00a.m. - soo today, I was up & back at my routine. Part of that routine every morning, is to look at my Budget... I'm still absolutely loving this new paycheck method!
This week we had (not including Friday), we had two sources of income coming in to the house, both I seperated on two different paycheck worksheets. The first source of income was a monthly stipend we receive & that goes to reduce a credit card debt ($300) & then it went for specialty organic meats (groceries) & another $100 debt. That took care of that stipend. Then on a separate worksheet, I 'budget' H's income (which a portion covers the mortgage payment & some of the utilities and then alot of the business expenses. By doing the two seperate worksheets, I'm able to really see where our $$ is going.
When I get paid on Friday, that will be on a seperate worksheet. I will post pictures of the worksheet - but if you want to see and learn more, please visit www.thebudgetmom.com (her worksheets are available for download) & all her video's on where to start is on youtube.
We bought quite a bit of groceries last weekend, so other than a few smaller items (H wants a brisket in the crockpot Sunday), our grocery bill should be $40 or less this weekend.
And that's what I have to do.. our second sitter needs to get paid this week, Comcast (insert eye roll) and other small bills.
Meal planning is needed using the food we have in our pantry and freezer.. we have food & we need to meal plan from there.. using what we have - so we can use the money we earned to really pay down debt & pay our monthly bills on time.
Getting paid is exciting for me.. the first time in years, probably as an adult to be honest! I love watching my small 'sinking funds' (funds saved over time for something specific: I have a Christmas 2020 fund, a Miscellanous Household fund, and a "Birthday Fun" fund ohh.. yes and an Emergency Fund-I'm trying to build to at least $1,000); I also like watching my credit cards decrease in payments.. I would LOVE to be credit card free by the end of 2020. (about $12,000). I can do it!! And so can you..
How can I help??? Come on my Get Personal with Pattie show & let's talk budget!! Send me an email to join in on the conversation!
thanks!
