My very slow but weekly deposits into my first "$1,000 Emergency Fund" has been funded. I started last October puttting $25.00/week in a savings account, I then moved it to a higher interest account and today I was able to put in the balance of $145 into it to reach that $1,000 deposit I wanted!

Let's be real - most household's, including mine needs more than one thousand for an emergency fund - but it's the starting point. If an emergency arises, and we can't do it from our weekly budget, then we know we have this backup. There's most certainly a PLAN for our money. And I am happy! It's these 'little things in life' that make me happy - it's a plan for our money, a building up of savings - sinking funds, variable spending envelopes - it wouldn't be like this a year ago.. I'm happy I found #thebudgetmom and continue on with the method.

No matter how small you can start putting away, or throw at debt - it WILL build up, trust me. Time goes by so fast - certainly watching your money grow in a savings account feels like it takes forever.. but as we all know, time just continues on.. START TODAY. It can be as little as $5-$10/week.. open a #capitalone360 account or an #allyaccount (both online, both accept automatic transfers) .. just do it! In a year from now you could be celebrating youre wins as well!

More to come.. I'm covering alot of meetings this week.. but I promise an update by the end of the week..

Please if nothing else, be respectful and kind to each other..
