New Savings Challenge in June.

I've always said that just saving a little each day or week will add up! Don't wait. Start today.
Maybe it's your Christmas Budget - if you start now in July and get paid weekly, save $20/week from now until about December 11th, you'll have $480! Listen, I get it, maybe you're saying, 'Well, that's just a drop in my bucket for Christmas gifts.' (That's a whole other story.. to remember that MEMORIES for kids and simple gifts are really what they remember in the future!). (off that soapbox!)
Okay, anyway, so $480 isn't your budget for gifts; however, it could make a huge dent in your food budget for Christmas! And it'll make you proud that you saved that much weekly! Just do it!!
As some of you know, I watch YouTube endlessly... from budget videos to planning and savings challenges. I caught on to #thevillagehop and finally decided to dive in.
The Village Hop is a saving challenge with different content creators that do daily videos, Monday through Friday

, saving $6.00/day (now don't tell me you can't save $6.00/day. That is your daily bought out coffee!). I've been cash stuffing in previous years and started again in June with grocery cash stuffing; so weekly, when I get paid, I pull out $30/week for My Village Hop! (a little extra, as I started rolling the die on Saturday and Sunday!)
Type in The Village Hop in the search bar on YouTube and just watch one episode.. It's definitely a quick and fun way to start saving. Since 6/1, when I started it.. I've already saved over $200. Basically, it's six different envelopes that you number 1-6: Prosperity, Generosity, Abundance, Month Ahead, My Stash, and Travel. Then, as the creator rolls the die, you put $1 in the envelopes. It adds up! The Village Hop creators have been doing this savings challenge for 3 years... accumulating and giving, using as they build it up and need it.
Once you start it, it's addictive... or at least for me.
Sure, call me weird... but we all have our idiosyncrasies, and for sure, saving money differently is mine!
thanks for being here!
