Aligning my financial goals... #sidehustle

I saw this quote from #thebudgetmom and it resonated with my spending habits this year! I have seen a # of creators doing a 'no spend challenge' year/month/week, etc. I decided, as I have in the past, that this year I was going to be more intentional with my spending, and I mean that across the board - groceries, weekly household stuff, and even what I call "pattie's personal spending" (which includes any planning/stickers/etc)... that contribute to my hobbies.
In November and December, I noticed that I was spending quite a bit on personal planning stuff.. and I get influenced by "sales" and wanting new dashboards for my planner, etc. Who doesn't, (that is if you're into this stuff to begin with!). It could be something different for you.. we all are aware, to some degree what we spend $$ on - or we should be, if you don't that's your first challenge - Where is it going?!
Anyway, this year has been different.. I want to get rid of debt! I'm using the snowball method-the lowest balance and paying extra toward that monthly, sometimes weekly and then I'll go on to the next debt. This is important to me.
I know that if I'm intentional with earning side hustle money, then I have to be intentional with spending it, aligning with my goals, financially.
It's only February 11th - but I have 'skipped' over monthly dashboard subscriptions, logged on to sales to 'look' but then deleted the email and not purchased, and I have felt very comfortable with not purchasing more! It's a feeling of 'relief'.. I don't need more stuff, I need to use what I have, organize it and I have even thought of selling some of the stuff I don't use on mercari.
This is the year of intentional spending and saving! Think about where you are financially and where you want to be.. Life is hard enough.. don't add to it by limiting yourself to a 'no spend'; but align your spending with your goals! It's very freeing!
