Andrew's Wedding.

My first nephew got Married this past Sunday and it was such a beautiful wedding.

I got to meet a woman named, Kerri - who introduced herself as a friend of the groom's mom and "someone who has been following Grace". She sat with us and let Grace use her phone, yes she became a favorite person! She was wonderful. And the more we talked the more I found out about her precious, Special Ability daughter, Ava! Being able to talk to another parent, no matter for how much time (relatively short on Sunday) is just awesome.. especially if they *know* (because honestly we don't always *know* each other's struggles, for me, nor do I pretend to) a bit more than the parent of a typical child because they are a mom to a child with Special Abilities. Anyway, Kerri - it was nice to meet you.. Thank you!

My nephew is 25.. he has his own life, has for some time. I haven't seen him since my parents passing, five years ago; and then Covid hit and I'm not sure many people saw many people. He is a fine young man and I wish him and his bride all the best. Now the real fun starts. Marriage is wonderful, crazy, fun, and a lot of work.. sure, some say "it shouldn't be"; but let's face it.. it is! Anywho.. I wish them the best.

Of course, Grace went with us to the wedding - and I'll say it again.. she is really growing up! I'm so proud of her and how far she has come, but there are definitely some struggles still.. and Sunday morning was a huge one with lots of BM! Two baths before the wedding and the hours of praying that she doesn't have a blowout at the wedding. She didn't.

But I think geesh, she is 11; we've seen countless of GI doctors and still no progress on that. I just have to look on the bright side and say .. she is growing up & doing great. She ate, some beef, chicken nuggets and chips ;) (courtesy of mom on the last thing there!)

Grace had the time of her life.. she loved all the pretty ladies with their nails done up and made a friend, Jenny (the groom's best man's girlfriend). She danced.. she absolutely loves music (like her mama). It's a joy to watch her!

Like a parent giving away their son to marriage, I'm watching Grace with a different bittersweet eye.. she's growing up! Crazy how time flies!
