Changes in April

Back to #cashstuffing for me in April! I have done it in the past, and I'm back to it! I am cash stuffing variables in April, groceries, dine out & household. No amazon for household stuff this month and by using cash, it's eliminating my need to just use the debit card "oh just because!" For the first two weeks (as I write this), I've noticed my mind has changed and I'm embracing the cash stuffing. I did just buy a cash wallet & excited to have it come in, which I will use as my everyday wallet and taking my cash envelopes when I need it.

The other thing I've gone back to in April is stuffing my sinking funds! I thought that I would use only my 'hustle' $$ for sinking funds (putting aside a little something every paycheck to save for a longer term goal this year..like birthdays, for instance!). But as I have noticed that sometimes a few of my side hustles don't come in monthly (as they are suppossed to), so I've done it before and I'm doing it again..every paycheck I'm putting money aside for my sinking funds. Be it $5.00 in my 'house' fund; or $20 in BJ's Club, April started for me to make sure I put something in my Sinking Funds; and that makes me feel empowered, as I'd rather stuff my envelopes then spend the money foolishly and then call it 'unbudgeted!"

It's a different mindset to use cash, and once I have it and am 'saving' it, I find myself not wanting to spend it. Do something different this month.. if you're not a cash budgeter, try it! You never know what might help you..

Thanks for being here! #weeklybudgeter, #thebudgetmom & #cashstuffing

love, pattie
