What a wonderful day.. weather is rainy, but warm... and another Christmas is in the books. What a lovely day - started for me at 4:30 a.m., to put the lamb in the crockpot.. lamb with garlic & fresh rosemary.. topped it off in the oven for the last 20 minutes to brown & it was delicious. Over to a very close family friend's house we went for cheer and Christmas dinner.
But before that.. we were up around 9 to open presents - this year, Grace's new thing was 'shaking' the box..so cute! She liked her clothes, books, special "frozen" shirts, 'frozen bed sheets' & a ride on seat thingy..which I'm sure her sitters will get her to go in & cruise around the house..
She also had a tough 'belly' day.. and that's the thing with having a special needs kid.. one moment it's 'aww she's never done that before'..and the next it's watching her lash out by hitting her own head or pinching/biting herself because her belly hurts.. it's sad to see.. doctors, upon tests, and upper GI and lower GI tests.. still nothing.. it's frustrating.. and then trying to get the "perfect" christmas picture... it's perfect to us! it's reality.. it's times like this, i think we should have our own tv show.. the picture scene took about 20 minutes to take & 100's takes, in the end.. you can see us all in the same pj's & you know what.. it's the 3 of us.. and we're real.. (i'll post the pic when my husband uploads it)..
For now.. the end of our day has come.. and our biggest blessing is our lovely friends, JoJo, Uncle George & Jenna who we got to spend the day with.. and of course..watching our little Grace have fun!
