Got my vaccination (one & done, Johnson & Johnson) first thing saturday 4/10/2021.
I was feeling a little melancholy about the whole experience. Here I was sitting in what used to be a clothing factory outlet store, that I shopped in just a year & a half ago. The entire 5000 sq feet store were lined with chairs, people and health care workers. I really had alot of thankfulness for the number of health care workers there.. one to direct you, one to check you in and give you your vaccination card & paperwork. One then to seat you, one to give you the shot, one to shut off your timer after 15 minutes, oh yes, one to ask if you were feeling okay half way through your 15 min wait.. OMG.. Just a huge #thankyou .. I wish we could do something for them.. soo..if you're a healthcare worker, just THANK YOU! It takes a village.
I'm glad I'm vaccinated.. I just want to be safe..especially for my daughter.. and we haven't traveled, like many in a year.. we only usually go to my mother-in-law's in upper New York (she'll be 90 this year).. and I want Grace to see her before she passes.. (because truly who knows..).. Grace has no other living grandparents.. and I hate it daily.. :(
I feel good.. just such a sad world that we have to live in knowing so many people died of COVID19 or with complications from it. Just thankful & blessed everyday that we have faired well.
