Going into my 54th year of life feeling proud of my past year's accomplishments! After nearly three years, I finished my AA in Business Management a week ago! I will patiently wait for my degree in the mail! One of my last classes was a math - quantative reasoning and it was very difficult. The last eight weeks of the semester was a tough one for me and very stressful, but I managed the "C" in the class which is the required grade, trust me, not without a swear or two here and there! I really did enjoy taking college classes as an adult, it worked for me and I'm proud to be done! (Now to find things to do in that time slot! :)

Which brings me to my 54th year of life thoughts:

More reading for sure.. and for pleasure!

Walking routine, just committing to being healthy, for alot of us this is just an on-going goal. For me, I'm not going to beat myself up but just be cautious of getting in some excercise, drinking my water and taking my vitamins.. I believe the more I put into it the more stress out I may become and that's definitely not healthy!

I am entering my 2nd year at the company that I love and work for. I picked up yet, another town for minutes (yes, that makes 3 towns :) but it's an easy side hustle for me and my past experience with working for the town, makes the job easy for me to understand what is happening in the meetings.

I continue to do my budget and money videos and enjoy them.. my new YouTube Channel is Pattis Purse.. go check me out! I'm going to focus on cutting our credit card debt in half in 2024 and working on socking money away in investments and retirement. A vacation fund is going to be a priority as well, because I see a cruise for us in 2025!

All is well in my world.. I couldn't be happier. I have an awesome family.. I have watched Grace mature quite a bit in the last six months. I have a great team of people who care for her when I'm working and they have become a part of our family.

I'm going to look into a tap dance class for Grace and I in the new year.. because one thing I have learned is that you're never to old to learn something new!

Happy Birthday to me (and my twin!)

love,

pattie

Feeling powerless.. @3:00 a.m.

I'll start by saying I know that WE were chosen to be Grace's parents; it has made us stronger, and we've learned a lot from her. When she was little, she was in the hospital frequently for infection
