It's January 4, 2026! Wishing you all a Happy & Healthy New Year! Remember that YOU matter!!

I'm writing this to keep myself updated & accountable for a new year.. Like many, I go back to my beginning year goals (if I can remember where I wrote them down) and review; but if I can't remember where I wrote them down.. I ..well I can't remember.. LOL So let's start by keeping them here..which is an easy avenue to look back on.

I do remember that every year, I say - lose weight, blah blah blah.. but moreso I just want to feel good.. healthy & comfortable in my body!

My starting weight in May 2025 when I began Zepbound was 242.6

As of today, I'm 215! (I remember feeling comfortable at 235 and that was a big goal for me in 2025, and now being down 20 lbs from that mini goal - I'm pretty excited and it keeps me motivated to keep moving downward!)

I always try to do something NEW in the new year. 2024, I took piano lessons for six months; in 2025, I took adult tap lessons (March to December)

And now in 2026, I'm committing myself back to a Zumba class weekly (maybe twice). It's not 'new' persay, but it's my focus and it'll help me stay motivated with my health journey.

Here are my top thoughts/focuses for 2026

  • Zumba

  • Creative Journal/Planning

  • Paying off CC debt & my car loan

  • Strengthening my relationship with my family - more fun, game nights and/or overnights

  • Be TRUE to myself and my small circle (keeping it small)

A good start.. maybe their not all measurable but it's what I need .. I've learned some hard lessons at the end of 2025 regarding friendships & blood family..but I've also realized that my small circle IS my family..and I want to continue to strengthen those friendships.

This is me - I'm loyal, a good friend, a good mom and I'm going to continue to strive to be the best I can be!

love,

pattie

I'll start by saying I know that WE were chosen to be Grace's parents; it has made us stronger, and we've learned a lot from her. When she was little, she was in the hospital frequently for infection
