Little by Little.. January 2022

HI, everyone! Wanted to share a few updates with Grace as the month of January comes to an end! (Can you believe it, going by fast.. blink of an eye!)

Welcome to my blog, if you're new here.. THANK YOU for coming & reading all about me & my family, my goals - both health & financially; and my home life. I am the mother of a 10 year old girl who has CP, she is a twin, with her brother who is watching over from high above. She is non-verbal, but a "total communicator"; she signs, says some words, has some sounds, and uses an ipad talker to communicate. If you haven't joined my facebook or Youtube, get on over there.. GetPersonalwithPattie - In January, (just recently actually), Grace used her signs to sign Mom and then used her Ipad to say "i love you!" Trust me, it's worth just seeing that video on my facebook page!!

We have a puppy (who's 7 months, but looks like he's 2 years!) He's a goldendoodle F1bb; second generation! He weights in about 55 lbs and we love him; it's been great to have a dog for Grace.. she wants everyone to hold him and hug him, she wants him close to her - then she doesn't. Last night, she wanted him to come to her bedroom to see the lights (we put up those led lights in her room, she LOVES them! And gets very excited about it). Max made his way in her room an hour later and it was tough getting him off her bed. As Max gets older, and Grace too.. they'll continue to be best of friends.

Grace has worked so hard to get on the potty daily! At home and with her childcare providers, she (with some resistant with her parents) gets on the potty and does her business. It's a work in progress!

In January, we have gone up a bit on her feed through her gtube, even though she is eating a little more by mouth it's not sustaining a weight gain, so we had to go up on her feeds. With all the extra walking around she has been doing, she needs more calories.. slowly but surely!

it's been a great month for Grace. There's lots happening and we just keep trusting in God and Grace. She has some wonderful PCA's (personal care attendants) & are tribe means the world to us.

I want to get in the habit of updating her wins for this year monthly.. as something to look back on in years to come! I hope you'll stay with us to see the "Little by Little" Progress!
