Recently I have had what others call 'luck' with winnings - nothing over the top, but turning $10 into a scratch ticket that might double, then triple.. a few times in the last month or so. But for me, I don't consider it 'luck'.. I think back to the book, "The Secret".. a book about the law of attraction..(which, when I have more time to pleasure read I need to pick it up again- definitely a book worth reading more than once or twice!) when you are positive and believe in yourself and what you can accomplish, you can attract most anything. Now some may say I'm a little 'off' in that believe..but let me tell you this - I am a positive person, and I am at a point in my life that I feel comfortable and 'intentional' with my money - spending, saving, paying down debt. Yes, I feel comfortable. Not in a way that I don't have any debt, but in a way that I am paying it down and able to buy something when I want - or pay it forward, donating, and giving to others. It hasn't always been this way - so I don't think it's because I'm making more money, (because I'm not)..but I believe it's changing my #mindset .. following #thebudgetmom method has afforded me to take control of my finances and realizing that I and my family's intentions are just important.
Mindset is where you need to start. I'm intentional with my money.. in all aspects. Recently, my husband and I had a 'date' night, which is tough to do with our family.. but we decided to go to a 20 min drive casino (i love doing this for fun..the penny machines..i know it's not really 1cent, 15 lines xs .01cents, is $1.50!).. I usually do about .30cents to .60.. anyway.. it's fun.. we go for a few hours, have an appetizer or get dinner and then come home. I usually lose $40 in 10 minutes.. (LOL)..but we also take home money, maybe not as much as we brought ..but we are 'okay' with that.. we are not taking $$ that is earmarked for bills or groceries.. we are being #intentional even with 'fun money.'
Whatever mindset you have.. always try to be intentional with what you're doing, or what you're giving.. it'll come back to you ten fold!
