March Self-Care

I know I started talking about this in February, but I didn't follow through.

Well today, March 5th, I finished my last final exam in one class in 1.5 hours in fairly uninterrupted time (fairly!). Yesterday, I volunteered with Rotary at a very worthy, humble cause for a family in the next town over from mine. It was a fun day and certainly made you walk away praying and hoping for the best for this family. And today, I went for a ride (alone!) that's a rarity, other than if I'm going to work. And I also spent time chatting with a couple of friends and started to listen to a new podcast, "Life is hard!" And it is, isn't??

The new pod cast I'm listening to is by, Glennon Doyle, "We can do Hard Things!". I like podcasts, especially something like this.

I have a few new budget thoughts for March, and one is saving for our anticipated Federal tax return. Ouch! Hoping it's less than $5,000 - thankful for our solar panels. But then we got to continue to put away money every two weeks. So, $200/week for my contribution in March.. Love my envelopes! A great way to save.. Gosh, I remember when I first started using envelopes I would save, steal a little, save.. take a little.. save & then after a few months saw how much was in there.. and now I don't even sometimes want to spend it, even though I may need it!

I hope you're all doing well!! Self-care..whether it's a financial goal (trust where it goes & be intentional with you're spending!) or just take some time to breathe, go out with a friend, drive with the music loud (by yourself!), or have a great chat with a friend - just make sure you are doing it!

I find that I do ALOT.. within the family, getting things done, ready.. school .. I'm trying to finish my AA by the end of the year.. I need a reset for sure! And I'm starting in March!!

Spring starts in 2 weeks - that means more walking outside for me! And I have a journey and a goal to get 40 lbs down! My skinny coffee helps as well as the extra $200-$300 I make a month.. :)

Happy March to you!!
