May Budgeting Goals

Hi all.. I'm trying my hand on videoing..so I can record at least ONE paycheck for you..as I enter it into my tracker, so I'll try & get that out this week.


I was having a discussion with H last night.. he wants to be more involved in the budgeting process.. okay, honestly I've tried twice with him to show him what/how I do it.. tracking our spending so we know what our goals are for the next month (less purchasing coffee out, etc).. so maybe 3rd times a charm..


For me personally, NO buying coffee and/or breakfast out for May - it helps that I decided on May to do the 30 day challenge, because every morning starts with my smoothie. I'll be definitely saving money there.. and April was a high spending of 'personal' money for me.. so I got to quit that in May, and just put weekly money on credit card debt. I'd rather put $25 on a credit card payment (after of course making the minimum payment) then purchase something for me that maybe I don't need.


Summer is around the corner.. Grace will need some clothes, and me too.. I think I'll start a sinking fund for clothes, that could be that $25/week that I don't need to spend on other stuff.


so May..

1. Don't spend before you have it.

2. NO coffee and/or breakfast spending....

3. $25/week for clothes fund
