Happy Mother's Day to my readers/followers. Hope this day brings you plenty of rest and NO laundry - but honestly, if I don't at least change one load today, it'll just pile up tomorrow, right?
I usually start my day at 6:00 a.m. to feed Grace and today when the alarm went off, H said he would get up and do it. I appreciate that. But I don't necessarily sleep in, as I'm a morning girl and would rather get up and get things done at my desk. Gosh, I got to review my college research paper, track any spending from yesterday on my Budget trackers, color them in, and check email. Besides, I also got to text my close, and old friend K in Jersey.. we've been friends (with a few up/downs) for nearly 20 years... So I let him feed her, stayed in bed for another hour, we actually chatted quite a bit (which is also nice, because with Grace sometimes we don't even get to do that). Last night was a tough night with Grace.. her belly was bothering her and her behaviors came out. She finally got down to rest around 8:30pm, she is usually in bed by 7:00pm.
My hope today ..is honestly for her.. I say this all the time.. I LOVE Grace.. I LOVE & MISS Maxwell.. i wish things didn't happen as they did.. I wish we could have a 'do-over'.. but it's not going to happen..so today and everyday, I put Grace before myself. I love her for WHO she is, not what i want her to be. She is a smart, loveable, adaptable, stubborn little girl.. Just like her mama! She is strong willed, funny and has alot of characteristics of me.. She will be okay.. She has come so far.. nothing is going to stop her.
Today is about Grace.. making me a Mother!
My own mother is in heaven.. I miss her daily! My wish for Mother's out there..is to have a blessed day.. rest if you can, spend time with your children loving & hugging them, and don't forget to do at least one load of laundry.
