Plans... & being prepared.

I'm a Planner. Yes, as you all know I spent my early mornings working and tweaking my budget books, sharing videos on my weekly and bi-weekly budgets; my personal and my household monies. I also share my videos about planning and all my planners... I like to stay organized, especially with Grace's childcare providers. We are in the two weeks that she is home full-time, before she starts summer school; so there is one to two people here usually between 8:30-5:00 which is our work day.

But even the best laid down plans go to the waist side.. and that's okay! The advantage of being a planner is when you're in crisis mode, or for me anyway, being in worried, crisis mode means I'm still ready for the week and/or day, but it may include now new plans or variations of the day.

So, my husband had a fall this week and it was very damaging to his right hip - he underwent hip replacement surgery yesterday and is still in the hospital. He is doing better but it through me for a loop, just a little. Leaving work early, and contemplating the next few days, I've really just gone into each day with the phrase "one day at a time". The good thing is Grace's schedule for the week has been set weeks ago, so having her schedule not tainted and explaining to her what's going on how gently I can is the most important, so she doesn't feel alone; as I've been out later and/or not home when I usually am. Consistency and Planning for her and I.

I often say that Grace is a routine girl..but you know what so am I. I'm still going to bed by 10 and up at 5, trying to stay consistent on what needs to get done for her and our family.

I'm glad I'm a planner.. Gary will be home in the next few days (that's the hope!) and I'll be taking care of two people..but that's what I always do right? So.. with the right amount of planning.. every little thing will be alright!
