TGIF! It's been a week, but honestly there is always a silver lining!
I had the opportunity to sit this week. Just sit and reflect about a whole lot of things. Grace had a new orthopedic surgeon visit, this time in Rhode Island; and being the Mom I always go into her in these "one-parent only" visits, however this time Gary went in.. (he loves to talk medical shop and he can handle Grace alone, she's been around now for 9 years!). So as you all know, a 2pm appointment got them there for that time, and they came out at 3:50. It was a good appointment, and I'm glad we found someone new.. closer to home and not someone who immediately says surgery for Grace's scolisosis, like her previous doctor. The new ortho was happy the way Grace is walking and standing up straight..and says she's still growing.. so let's keep an eye on her and see you in six months. There, done.

(The only sad thing is how many other parents in our neighborhood go to this Boston doctor don't take the time or know the resources on how to find a second opinion). The new ortho was happy the way Grace is walking and standing up straight..and says she's still growing.. so let's keep an eye on her and see you in six months. There, done. (Silver Lining!)
By the time, they came out the car battery was dead (oops! no radio on, but the keys were completely off). So, I hopped in the back seat with Grace and we played, and laughed. (enter SIlver lining!)
Often times, we worry ourselves about things we really can't control, the silver linings occur all the time, we just have to be ready to allow them in our life. I am starting to slowly open up to them.. it's an opportunity to be content. :)
Happy Friday! Please look for your silver lining today! There out there..
