HI - it's today, the day we celebrate Premature Babies.. I had two! One is still here on earth (sickie this week).. smiling, laughing, stubborn.. but cute! Grace Lucia.. came into this world with a small cry and has been fighting ever since. Trust me, her medical issues are minimal compared to what she endured in her first year, first six months of life.. but she still has some GI belly issues.. sometimes we wonder if it'll ever be resolved.. but we keep plugging!
My other, Maxwell is up in heaven playing with his grandparents daily.. and reaking havoc as well I'm sure. He was a strong little baby boy, who also fought right up until the end (4 days later).
My babies were born 1 lb. 12oz.. phew! Sounds small..but they were long.. I'll never forget those days in the NICU in another state to boot.. it was wild thinking about it now.. but I am so #grateful for the people we met; the doctor's we had; strangers who became friends.
Hug your babies! And if you have #Preemies please tell me your story! There are soo many stories out there and these children are so resilient.. If you can, donate to a family who is in need.. #bekind .. you never know what people are going through or have endured.
