COVID Funeral

I attended a funeral for a good friend's mom this week, during this Covid experience.. it was a little weird but very respectful for the family, I think the priest did a great job explaining things and the people who attended respected that.

Of course you had to wear a mask, and then upon arriving at the church you had to give you name and there was a seating chart - so they sat you where the 'family' put you. Of course there were members of the public who came in late and made 'noise' to where they were being seated, or just sat where they wanted - but it was okay at that point, as the family had already been seated.

The service wasn't very long, I think the priest probably figured get everyone in/out.. it was your usual just about 45 min catholic mass.

I think this might be the "new normal".. it is what it is. This virus is coming back in some parts of the world.. I certainly don't want my family or my friends, anyone I know to get it as I hear it can be exahusting and take a toll on one. And the sad thing is once you get could you be succeptible to it? I don't know.. there seems to be no answers.

Whatever the answers our.. please continue to be kind to people - you don't know what they are really going through.. viruses, sickness, death - it's all just the tip of the iceberg!
