It's been awhile. We were on a good steady weekly date night, with a sitter one night week for a couple of hours, so we could just grab a quick dinner..but a 'real' nighttime, Saturday evening date has been months. (And just for the record we don't have that weekly night sitter anymore either..but working on it; that's a completely different blog post..this week!)
Anyway, we went to a local casino with a few friends..they did their thing..we did ours. We had a fun night..walked in with $200 in total, and walked out with $180.. not bad for 2 hours.. then went to a local place we frequent and had a nice dinner.
Through the night got updates that Grace was doing great.. dinner and ice cream licks.. she was in bed by 8:00! (She's still sleeping..it's 8:31am).. She will get her 'surprise' for a night without Mom and Dad and doing so well.
The weather is changing slightly.. warmer days are coming!! It changes my mood and I'm loving it.. I need WARMTH!
Every once in awhile.. we need that 'date night'..if you're married or in a relationship, don't take advantage of having it.. we had a good night..and just what we both needed!
