Hey there.. it's the end of July - for me that means another college class under my belt (finishing off with an "A", and even thought it was only 1 credit, felt like it should've been more. The thing with taking online courses in an 8 week period, is double the work is due every Sunday - 1 to 3 essays, quizzes and discussions. Phew! Sometimes I amaze myself! :). Knowledge is power.

I'll be recapping my July budget soon. I have finally a 'cushion' #thebudgetmom in my checking account going into August, so one of my goals in August is certainly to keep the cushion and press forward to save the same amount of cushion in the next month, and so on. If anything unexpected happens, I know that I am safe up to that dollar amount. My budget for July went well, I probably did spend a little more than I wanted to on "pattie's personal" things.. markers, stickers, some new washabi tape.. but if I'd rather spend it on that. I did plan to pay off another credit card (my husband's but felt like we've been paying this one off for years, which we probably have.) And looking into August, my hope is to pay off my Avenue (clothes) credit card.. it has a smaller balance of $400, so that should be easier. The ultimate goal is to have no credit card debt by the end of this year. We will still have two car payments and two student loans, that we will need to chip away at next year.

I'll update my budget soon - stay tuned.

As July is coming to an end.. what are you financial goals for August?? What our your personal goals - as always a new month is a new slate to do something different.. think outside of the box.. prepare your life to be happier..

Whatever it is .. remember it's all about YOU! :)
