Finalizing August

It's a work in progress..as I keep a few 'books'. however, this morning I have completed my personal account spending/saving updates.. and here is it..

My #1 Goal for August was to pay off a credit card ($475, Avenue -clothing store).. So from now on, if I need clothes (& I'll need a few more fitting pieces for fall/winter), I'll pay with cash or purchase with this card and then pay off at the end of the month.

So..YES, I accomplished paying off this credit card - ended up being $483.08 with the little extra interest they charged me after the closing date. I'm so proud of myself and being a #budgetbypaycheck girl, I'm really taking a hold of my finances & making every dollar accountable.

Other than childcare, as it's always a big expense right now & in the last few months.. I don't see that personally I spent any crazy money.. I would like to reduce our dining out for the month of September ($197. from just using cash & my personal account, but preliminary I know we had a bit more from the joint account). So we need to work on no debit for eating out & cash envelope only... and maybe just a limit of $200 - when it's done, it's done!

I'll update again by the end of the week.. gotta go for my walk now! (more fitness in August for sure! :) Another goal!
