And then some days, you just need to take care of yourself! After the last few weeks of taking care of two people that I love alot, I was okay at just taking a 1/2 sick day today to get Gary to his first post-op appointment; but then I thought to myself.. why am I going back to work for 3.5 hours, really? So, I checked out hair appointments for both of us - and yes, she could see us. That was the answer I was looking for. Gary had a great post-op appointment, he's coming along great; then we went to get his hair cut, lunch together and then I spent two hours working on a final presentation for my Intro to Management class (i still have more to do..but I'm making progress!).

Then it was a hair color and highlight for me.. supper, laundry, bring in the garbage and recycle cans. Get Grace ready for bed (soo yea.. I did have some time to myself, but then it was back to routine!)

Ending the night with a new writer's group that I signed up with.. going to learn more about the creativeness of my writing right here in my own Town. (I hope I make the time to do it). A little bit of budgeting and finances..which for me is my hobby! #thebudgetmom and going to bed early!

A mental health day is just what I needed - you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of others!

I'll start by saying I know that WE were chosen to be Grace's parents; it has made us stronger, and we've learned a lot from her. When she was little, she was in the hospital frequently for infection
