Hi! I wanted to put this in writing.. I'm more in love with Grace everyday than the day before. My heart is full! I've seen so much growth in alot of different areas and I wanted to share. Maybe it's because she's 12, maybe because her brain is catching up, I don't know. But I wouldn't want her any other way.

This past weekend, we went with friends to a pumpkin spectacular (carved out pumpkins in the dark..how exciting!) She walked through the park, she sat in her stroller, she laughed and giggled at the amazing sites. I don't really know how to explain it but she just was like any other typical little girl (and trust me we have always treated her as such, but in the back of my mind I worry about her catching up...it's hard to explain).

My friend, just sitting across from her at dinner could just see the growth from her. It's maturity, it's an almost 'tween'; it's even her height and weight! It's all coming together. She is so smart and picking up things faster than ever. (Peace out, with two fingers up.. See picture. :)

And then I just figured out that Grace, who has always done 'thumbs up' as her goto that things are "ok"; just did thumbs down... (as we were laughing). I have to note these things when they happen because honestly, the rumor was she was never going to be able to do some of these things.. Never underestimate..

I wish you all could know her, if you don't.. she is a force to be reckon with and I'm glad she chose me to be her MOM.

Feeling powerless.. @3:00 a.m.

I'll start by saying I know that WE were chosen to be Grace's parents; it has made us stronger, and we've learned a lot from her. When she was little, she was in the hospital frequently for infection
