Reflections..

HI, everyone! It's August 2nd.. a full 24 hours before my twins turn 10!! TEN.. double digits, when did that happen?? As a mom of a special abilities child, I think about what the future will look like for Grace..I don't think too far ahead, but there are thoughts there for sure. For now, I always wonder if she'll be able to do all the things "typical" (I don't say 'normal, because really.. are there any normal child or adults in this world.. and who defines that anyway!) .. anyway, I always wonder if she will be able to experience the typical things children do.. but the only way to have her experience that..is for me to believe in what I say to her, "you can do WHATEVER and BE whatever you want!"

So Yesterday, August 1st.. Auntie Pam and I took her mini golfing and bumper water boats with her sudo cousins, Zach & Brody! And she had so much fun.. pictures attached. We took her walker and she used it on the mini golf trail.. (maybe next time just her walking belt).. She sat on benches along the path..and once even walked 3 steps to me from the walker on her own.. Melts my heart!

I get very emotional when I talk about Grace & (Maxwell!).. I can't believe it's been ten years she's been on this earth, and Maxwell will be celebrating in heaven with Vevo & Avo.. and grandpa..and so many others.

Grace is definitely the definition of Abilities, not Disabilities! :) Love her to the moon & back and back again! Proud to be her mama, but certainly couldn't do it without my tribe!
