Hey everyone! I didn't want to be 'debbie downer', so I waited to write this post. We heard on Sunday morning that Gary's, Aunt Teresa passed. Aunt Teresa is his mom's sister and the youngest of the three of them. And it made us both just sad. She was a wonderful person, full of life. A school teacher for years. She read a beautiful poem at our wedding in 2008; and during Covid we would send her random packages from our favorite italian store as well as misfit market packages.. she was so appreciative. Aunt Teresa always remembered Grace. Her birthday, Christmas, her and I would exchange letters monthly. At the end of last week, I remembered that I wanted to send her a note to update her on Grace's great progresses and I didn't get a chance to do that. :( Please send the notes, send a card of thankfulness or just a "HELLO" card. Here is yet another person that I cannot do those exchanges with anymore.
Then if that wasn't sad enough - on Sunday night, I got word that a cousin of mine in Canada had passed. He was 53 and left behind a wife (who just lost her dad three months ago) and three beautiful daughters. "Fernando" and his family came to visit my family and I in 2018 and 2019 just in time for Grace's birthday. They loved coming to Massachusetts and even slept over in 2019. I'm so sad that he has left our earth. His oldest daughter graduated from High School this year and the middle from elementary school. He was a good man, husband and father. I'm so sad for his wife. If you're the praying kind, please keep this family in your prayers.
An emotional week for sure. Grace's actual birthday was wonderful..but the gloominess that comes with her twin celebrating in heaven always weighs on my brain. His death date will be the celebration party for Grace.. saturday the 7th. We will always remember him and honor his birthday.
Thanks for reading. Please.. send that card, visit that friend, make time for your families. Reach out.. if they don't reach back out to you..that's okay, keep doing it!
love you!
