I need to get to walking! I'm finding taking that first step so hard these days! How do you do it? I know I'll feel better if I just get to it and I've had more than one opportunity in the last week to go out early morning, but I have found one excuse or another not to. :( UGH! Like I have always said, if I had the 2% motivation of walking and excercising as I do budgeting; I would be thinner, or at least a bit healthier. My hobbies are budgeting, planning, my youtube channel and my Get Personal with Pattie shows. Trust me, I don't want to create a hobby in walking, but I would like to start a habit of it; and of course the best time to do that is now, summer! But it's hard to take that first step!
I have a desk job. It's a little worse than previous jobs (that were also in-office) because I only get up when I have to go to the restroom. In previous jobs, if customers came in I would have to get up to greet and service them at the counter. I LOVE my job! (I've said it a hundred times before.. I have finally found my niche in my career!) However, I need to just get outside and take a 10 minute walk.
I'm definitely one of those people that will wait til the last minute to go to the bathroom; especially if I'm enthralled in my work. But this is something I need to do.. I need to find my motivation to get up & walk. I can do this!
I will commit to today. I'm going to bring my sneakers to work and go out for at least ten minutes. I got this!
Tell me how you do it.. :) give me some ideas, motivation!
