Hey there.. I've been feeling under the weather.. came on to me with a sore throat (that truly only lasted a couple of days).. more now, is the stuffy nose/head feeling & a slight cough. I debated (right? I debated vs. no brainer) whether or not to call out sick form work. Why do we do that to ourselves? I have the sick time. I am the only person in my office and it's been busy still.. and I'm worried about calling out.. those guilt pulls are horrible. But I did call out. Left 1/2 day one day, and then was out sick yesterday. And I'm okay. I actually feel better today, not 100% but certainly getting there. Tylenol, tea, vitamin C, repeat!
I've been so busy.. until I slowed it down this week, I don't realize it when you're energetic and in the midst of business. Now, I have another form of my speech paper due for class tomorrow (which looks like I'll have to do tonight, with research... ughhhh I HATE research!). I've been doing my minute gigs, and just all around stuff around here. Maybe I'd be okay with a 4 day work week.. that'll never happen in a municipality - but sounds good.
Take time for yourself... put other things aside to get YOURSELF feeling better.. or you'll end up like me.. a day & half off..and tylenol every six hours..
With the New England weather changes, it was high 70's yesterday, but 40's on Monday - it's time to start drinking the elderberry juice (or grape, I just read somewhere); the vitamin c tablets, and don't forget the thieves on your feet. Elderberry & Thieves (young living oil collection), I started on Grace about a month ago.. should've started then for myself.
Be well! Stay healthy!
