Anyway, it's been a rough week.. last week ended on such a high note with Grace's TENTH birthday party on Saturday.. we had about 15 guests, catered food & it just went really well. She loved her birthday cake (pictured!) and people softly singing & signing "Happy Birthday".. that's one of her favorite songs you know!!
Then Monday came. :( I think a few party guests caught a cold.. thankfully for Grace it's just a runny nose cold.. but not sure if we can do two surf lessons this weekend.. she was doing better as of last night, so I'm waiting another full day before I make the call. My good friend's, seven month old had some high fevers this week as well.. nothing like children being sick that makes for a bad week.
Add some horrible work stress this week.. just trying to keep it together.. one day left. I have been experiencing some untolerable behavior at work.. and then witnessed being done to another person.. whether that person is 'likeable' or not by many others, people around me thought it was "ok" for him to spoken to in such a 'bully' manner. I'm sad that those are the personalities of people that I work with.. soo yup, time for me to start looking.. I really enjoy my job and my customers, but I'm not sure it's the right fit anymore.. I'm not getting any younger .. :( I'm just sad. People should be held accountable for their words and actions.
The good news is... we are getting a PUPPY.. the silver lining of the week as we get him tonight! I will most certainly post pictures in the next day or so..
And I am learning that I need to take care of MYSELF.. September will be all about ME.. perhaps picking up a new hobby.. or just taking time for walking, reading and those things I feel I am always "too busy" to do. I'm going to skip over the next 8 week college class..and go back to it in October... Gary's getting stronger daily and should be back to some routine in the next week or so with the office/home work stuff.. Grace has two more weeks home from school.
All will work out fine.. I know it will. 222! Believe.. every little thing is going to be alright!
